The Office of Integrity & Compliance (OIC) strengthens the culture of the University through a commitment to the highest integrity & compliance standards. We provide regulatory compliance guidance and support to advance education, research, and service missions across all University of Kansas campuses.

What We Do
The Office of Integrity & Compliance seeks to advance and integrate compliance standards across the University to achieve excellent outcomes and further commitment to the University’s Core Institutional Values by:
- Establishing and maintaining an effective compliance program consistent with the U.S. Sentencing Commission Guidelines;
- Enhancing current governance/oversight; organizational structures; program activities and supporting processes; communication; and systems/technology to improve coordination and alignment of compliance and risk management activities;
- Fostering a culture of integrity through incorporation of the Code of Ethical Conduct into decision making processes;
- Leveraging best practices across the University to address potential gaps or opportunities in other areas;
- Increasing risk awareness and accountability across the University that facilitates ownership of compliance risks throughout the University’s broad and complex environments;
- Working with risk owners to identify strengths as catalysts for assessing efforts to attain excellence in compliance areas and recognize opportunities to refine ownership and responsibility; and
- Promoting an expectation of real-time communication between risk owners and Compliance to coordinate prompt and thorough response to incidents and engage in after-action reviews.
